I have been experimenting with layering lately and I must say that I have been enjoying the game so far. I have never been a big fan of heavy sweaters and coats, so here’s where layering comes in handy because believe it or not, layering several thin pieces keeps you warm and cozy  ... and light and that scores high on my fashion barometer.

If you are new to this game, try your hand at layering a tunic in a less conventional way, like I did in this outfit. Instead of wearing pants with a side-slit tunic, I wore a pencil skirt with a front-slit tunic. Essentially, I went for clean and simple items:  a classic pencil skirt with a plain white turtleneck, layered with a black tunic. And because it was cold outside, I threw a light grey coat over my shoulders.

And the result … well, I will let you be the judge of that.
