Fashion has come a long way. It is more fluid and literally bends the physics. There are no rules, except perhaps that it needs to be unique and pleasing to the eye.

I enjoy this new face of fashion where clashing contrasts, colors and textures are celebrated. It’s like a whole new age of designers and stylists who shock and please your senses into visual harmony. So, how does one join the movement? There isn’t really any guidance or a list of dos and don'ts. It’s all about experimentation, practice and evolution. Just like with other activities, your senses will get sharper once you practice, practice and practice even more. And before you know it, you will naturally strike that perfect balance among contrasts that will amaze.

That’s what I tried to achieve with this look. I wanted a unique but wearable look, so, I picked this Summer skirt with fur pockets. The fur pockets are an unexpected detail for Summer wear but somehow they look so right on this classic pencil skirt.  It’s like this skirt has a charming sense of humor :-). And really, this skirt is sort of seasonless as you can wear it with a lighter top or shirt for Summer, and with a knit sweater, like I did, during Fall or Spring.

The shoes were an easy choice – the heel had that wooden warmth that matched perfectly the skirt’s hue and the buckle, well … I just love that thin elegant buckle that render these shoes quite unique but still do not detract from the skirt’s unique design. Overall, I think my mission for uniqueness was achieved. What do you think?

Thank you so much for reading.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I’ll see you again soon.
