4 Easy Tips to Dress Up Your Denim

Love denim and can’t go without it even if you need to go to a fancier event? Read on, this post if for you, denim lover.

Denim, you have my love in so many ways… You are comfy, practical and so chic. That’s why, in this post, I will share 2 ways to dress up denim to get a unique and feminine vibe.

STYLE TIPS:

  1. LayLayer a knit dress that is asymmetric. The asymmetry will give the entire look a sense on uniqueness and contemporaneity.  I styled mine with an asymmetric dress with a long zipper and I thought the end result was a very cool and fresh look.  You can achieve the same type of styling if you use a wrap dress even if it is not asymmetric. With some creative wrapping, you can add some asymmetric lines that will layer beautifully. For an example of creative layering, see this post where I wore a wrap skirt as a top that I wore during the New York fashion Week Day in September 2016
  2. I styled a pair of boot cut denim because I felt that their shape will be particularly elongating. You can also experiment with a pair of skinny jeans if you prefer. Try a camel or grey pair or some coated black jeans for a change.
  3. Add some statement boots. Try a metallic hell that is so trendy right now or go for dark green or dark red boots like mine.
  4. Keep it simple. If you are going for a colored pair of boots like mine, keep the color palette monochromatic or from a similar color palette.
