Tweed Coats for Spring
Don’t know how to handle Spring’s moody weather? Read on to learn how to style a light tweed coat to stay chic, warm and comfy.
It is exactly the middle of March and we got snowed in yesterday. And today, we are back to chilly weather. So, what’s a girl to do to stay stylish and warm when the weather plays tricks on you like this?
In my previous post, I wrote about trench coats and oversized scarfs as a viable transitional outfit. Today I’ll share another styling tip: light tweed coats. They are warm and light, and perfect for transitional seasons.
As an added bonus, I shot this outfit at the Library of Congress. It was so beautiful and impressive on the inside, so, if you ever are visiting Washington DC or live close by all means go and see it as it will be a memorable experience.
- Choose a light tweed coat so that you can layer a light cardi underneath. Thinner layers keep you warm while not adding bulk, which is a blessing if you are a petite or when you want to look leaner.
- Try one with mixed media, like mine: it adds more texture and it will make a better style impact while boosting your mood.
